Placed in the heart of downtown North East is the gathering place for celebrations, foodies, friends, families, and dates. The Skunk and Goat Tavern offers something for every restaurant patron. At the same time, however, the impact this tavern has on the community reaches far outside the walls of 17 West Main St.
Each month, the Skunk and Goat Taverns supports a different local non-profit through the creation of a signature cocktail. With each purchase of these original drinks, $1 is donated to the non-profit it is attached to. This month’s donation cocktail is the Rescue Me Rita, benefiting the Erie Animal Network. Past beverages have included a grape flavored cocktail which supported the North East Little Pickers and a Brilliantly Blue drink that benefited the Autism Society in April. This monthly tradition of charity connects the Skunk and Goat to the broader North East and Erie community and encourages patrons to “Sip for a Cause!”.
In addition to bonding creative drinks with a local organization, the Skunk and Goat supports local healthcare employees and teachers through free meals and special deals. Most recently, the tavern conducted a local contest that awarded a group of teachers from Klein Elementary and UPMC Vineyard Primary Care nurses with free lunch. These meals were hand delivered to each location and is a testament to the impact teachers and healthcare workers have on the community, and shows S&G’s commitment to creating a deeper community connection and appreciation.
Lastly, every Monday at 6 pm, the Skunk and Goat hosts a Cornhole League in Gibson Park. This event is marked by cold drinks, friendly competition, and grand prizes. Registration is limited to 24 teams so be sure to sign up today!
