Taste of Summer – June 20 & 21
This new event celebrates the start of summer. Featuring specialty food vendors, wine & beer, plus locally made arts and crafts.
Organized by Enjoy North East
Picnic in the Park – Thursdays, June – August in Gibson Park
Free entertainment and crafts for kids. Programming provided by the North East Arts Council with funding from North East Community Foundation and ECGRA. Check back in May for full list of weekly entertainment acts.
Pet Parade – Sept. 5 in Gibson Park
This event is a part of the Open Market held Saturdays in Gibson Park. Registration info coming soon.
Open Market – Saturdays, June 27 – Sept. 6 (excluding July 4th and the week of the Cherry Festival Parade) in Gibson Park
Join us Saturdays 10 am to 2 pm to support local growers and makers, enjoy live music, grab something for lunch or a sample from local wineries, breweries or distilleries, and try your hand at yard games and interactive sidewalk art.

Erie Philharmonic Free Outdoor Concerts – June, July and August in Gibson Park
Organized by North East Community Foundation and The Skunk & Goat Tavern with the support of local donors.
Enjoy the Fourth – July 4, 5 pm to dusk in Gravel Pit Park
Featuring family fun, music by local bands, strolling entertainment & face painting, food trucks and fireworks at dusk. Organized by Enjoy North East with assistance from the North East Community Foundation.
Firemen’s Cherry Festival – July 15-18 in Heard Park
Carnival rides, games, food, 5K and parade to benefit Crescent and Fuller Hose Companies.
Wine Fest – Sept. 25-27 in downtown North East
Harvest celebration is held annually the last full weekend in September. Featuring wine tasting from 10+ wineries, live music, food and numerous artisans, plus 5K walk/run, car show and cycling tours. Organized by Enjoy North East with support from ECGRA and local sponsors.

Tree-mendous Night of Lights – Nov. 28 in Heard Park
This event is held annually, the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Kick off the holidays with family fun, parade and lighting of a 40-foot tree in Heard Park. Featuring live reindeer, free hot cocoa and cookies, music and fireworks. Organized by Enjoy North East with support from North East Community Foundation and other community groups.
Sugar Plum Shopping – Dec. 5 in downtown North East
Start your shopping with the merchants of North East. Featuring special sales & promotions, plus family fun including live reindeer, ice-carving demos, Santa’s workshop and letters to Santa, horse & carriage rides, Winter Market and more. Organized by Enjoy North East with support from North East Community Foundation, ECGRA and other local supporters.
