Community Yard Sale – late May or early June. Organized by the North East News Journal

Gibson Days – the second weekend in June. Organized by the Lions Club with assistance from Historical Society & North East Community Foundation

Pets in the Park – annual pet parade held in June. Organized by The Skunk & Goat Tavern

Gibson Park Open Market – weekly late June through September. Featuring homegrown and homemade products. Organized by Enjoy North East.

Summer Concerts in the Park – series of free outdoor concerts in featuring the Erie Philharmonic.

Enjoy the Fourth – July 4 event in Gibson Park featuring live music, food, family fun & fireworks. Organized by Enjoy North East with assistance from the North East Community Foundation.

Cherry Festival – the week following July 4. Carnival rides, games, food, 5K and parade to benefit Crescent and Fuller Hose Companies.

Wine Fest – held last full weekend in September. Harvest celebration featuring wine tasting, live music, food and numerous artisans, plus 5K, car show and cycling tours. Organized by Enjoy North East.

Light Up Night – Saturday after Thanksgiving. Kick off the holidays with family fun, parade and lighting of Gibson Park and a 40-foot tree in Heard Park. Featuring outdoor movie, live music and fireworks. Organized by Enjoy North East.

Sugar Plum Shopping – first Saturday in December. Start your shopping with the merchants of North East. Featuring special sales & promotions, plus family fun including live reindeer, ice-carving demos, Santa’s workshop and letters to Santa, horse & carriage rides and more. Organized by Enjoy North East.
