The North East Area Chamber of Commerce Needs Your Support

You may have experienced first-hand one of our community events; UnCorked, the Farmers Market, Pets in the Park Parade, Light Up North East, Small Business Saturday or Sugar Plum Weekend, noted the impact that a busy WineFest weekend has on your business’ sales, enjoyed the sidewalk art, even felt pride in your community and what makes it unique.  At the North East Area Chamber of Commerce, we are passionate about growing our community, supporting our businesses, and making North East a place where people want to work, live, and play.

The past year has been full of uncertainty; although many have persevered and come out of this global crisis stronger, the NEACC is not one of the lucky organizations. We need your support more now than ever.

The loss of our flagship fundraiser, WineFest, has left us unable to properly serve the businesses and community that mean so much to us all. Initially, we had a plan to continue our planned events through a partnership with the North East Borough Parks & Rec Department this winter and return to our normal lineup in the New Year; unfortunately, at the last minute, we were informed that this joint venture is no longer a reality.

Our current plan is to use 2021 to hunker down, raise funds, and support our town to the best of our ability with a limited budget. Because many businesses are suffering as well and we would not be able to fully serve them in the coming year, we will not be soliciting memberships for 2021. At this time, it is not possible to make any decisions regarding WineFest 2021 but we are hoping for the best.

In 2022, we plan to be back in full force and once again have a flourishing membership to serve as well as host the events we have all missed so much. To accomplish this, we will need your support to get through the coming year. Without your donations, the NEACC could face closure before 2022 even arrives.

We don’t want to see all our forward momentum halt, and we don’t want to lose an event like WineFest that’s been a staple in our community for nearly 40 years and draws thousands of people to our small town to showcase the best we have to offer.

Please consider making a donation to keep the NEACC afloat and retain an organization that is truly an asset in this town. If you can assist in any amount, please know that it is appreciated and the impact goes far beyond a weekend festival – it will support an anchor of this community whose mission is to serve members, build the community, and promote tourism.

Donations can be made by mail, in our office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 8:30am-4:30pm or online at www.nechamber.org. Donations received by check will be collected on the Chamber’s behalf by Downtown North East, and will be tax deductible.
